All about Lauv
His name being Ari Staprans Leff, Lauv forms part of the millennial generation of artists who found the spotlight through the Internet! Born in San Francisco, the music lover used to spend hours in his bedroom mixing and producing his own samples, seeing as Lauv learned how to play the piano, guitar and viola at an early age. Indeed, the successful artist knew that he wanted to dedicate his life to music, which is why he majored in music technology and started playing in several bands.
Lauv perfected his songwriting techniques by writing songs for multiple writers, although it was by writing the song "The Other" for Michael Mastosic that he felt the need of releasing it under his own name. Once he chose his stage name - which means Lion in Latvian -, Lauv was ready to introduce himself to the world. "The Other" became an immediate success, this way starting the prolific career which has led to Lauv's debut playlist I met you when I was 18 (2018).
