Byron Bay Bluesfest Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm
Also known as the East Coast International Blues & Roots Music Festival, the Byron Bay Bluesfest began its run in 1990, when the four-day event took place at the Arts Factory in Byron Bay! Drawing in a crowd of 6000 people, it soon became apparent that the blues festival would become an annual event! Over the years the festival has moved from place to place within Byron Bay, as the number of people flocking to this epic festival continually forced the festival to move and raise capacity. By 2007 the maximum capacity reached an impressive 16,000 attendees a day. In 2010 the festival moved once more to Tyagarah, (a 15-minute drive from Byron Bay), and is now a permanent resident of the area! The number of stages has also increased over the years, with the festival now hosting five stages since 2008!
