Anderson .Paak’s road to fame
Anderson .Paak, originally from Oxnard, California, began producing music at a young age in his teens. His love for music was evident and he could often be found singing gospel music at his local church growing up. The 2013 EP "Cover Art," allowed him to start getting his name out there as fans and critics alike positively responded to his style mixing from jazz and R&B to rock and hip-hop. By 2016, .Paak had been included on the XXL Freshman List, was nominated at the BET as Best New Hip Hop Artist, and won the Soul Train Music's Centric Certified Award. In 2017, Anderson .Paak faced his first two Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Urban Comtemporary Album for Malibu.
